SectorPoint, Inc. has partnered with the Los Angeles Career Pathways Partnership to offer a CTE Articulate to all 19 colleges in LA County. CTE Articulate is a modern and innovative web application that facilitates course articulation agreements created as a result of partnerships between a community college, local high schools and ROP programs. Together, high school teachers and college faculty can utilize CTE Articulate to examine course curriculum of their respective disciplines in order to determine if the selected courses are equivalent. Colleges and schools benefit from a complete digitized process that automates the entire articulation process from submission to approval, and renewal, with maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Once a course is articulated, the two educational institutions provide a smooth transition for students to move from one course, program or educational level to the next, while minimizing or eliminating course repetition. (See the CTE Course Articulation video.)
The CTE Web Application was originally piloted at Rio Hondo College in Whittier, Calif., where over 60 courses were articulated within the first six months of using the application! (Read the Customer Success Story here). Citrus College in Glendora, Calif., another L.A. County College, went live this past summer with a customized version provided by SectorPoint.
Since California Community College Chancellor’s Office’s Strong Workforce Program underwrote the project, any California community college can utilize this web application without licensing fees. A SectorPoint managed service plan is, however, required to host and manage the application as a Microsoft® Azure web app and database. SectorPoint can also customize the approval workflow to meet the specific workflow needs of the college.
